Eddie COLLINS

Biography

Ty Cobb says: “The first time I saw "Eddie" Collins play, which was in 1906, when he was appearing with the Athletics under the name of "Eddie" Sullivan and was still in college, he did not look like a hitter. To-day he is probably the most dangerous in baseball, as his work in the 1913 world's series showed. I consider him to be far more valuable to a team than Jackson or even Baker.”
