Joe TINKER (HOF)

Biography

Joe Tinker was the shortstop of the famous Tinker to Evers to Chance infield, a trio well-known for their superior ability to turn the double play. While many people believe that Tinker was the lesser player overall between the three Hall of Famers, he was considered to be the best fielder at the time. Tinker was a competent batsman, actually leading the 1908 Cubs in RBIs with 68 during the franchise’s last World Championship season. Joe Tinker was elected to Baseball's Hall of Fame in 1946 as each member of the famous trio were all elected the same year!
