Paige knows it, too, sometimes telling his fielders to sit down while he strikes out the side. A son of Mobile, Alabama, LeRoy seems to flourish as a traveling man. Not only does his ballplaying take him from city to city, he likes to switch teams nearly as easily as changing his shoes. In this way he has become famous throughout the baseball playing world.
