Leo DUROCHER

Biography

A short bio from the Helmar-R319 card back: Shortstops like dapper Durocher don’t grow on trees and it’s a cinch both the Yankees and Redlegs wish they had him back. Leo batted .265 last year and even hit 8 round trippers, his best go at the plate yet. As usual, his work with the glove drew raves from all corners. Gives umpires fits and teams with mgr. Frisch to give Cardinals best DP combo in NL. Socked double and triple to help St. Louis win World Series in 1934.
