A short bio from the Helmar “This Great Game” card back: It was long thought to be impossible for there to be a sequel to the famed “Murderers' Row', which was headlined by Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. But the Yankees seemed to have done it, with the great catcher Yogi Berra and switch-hitting center field superstar Mickey Mantle, he of the blonde locks and broad shoulders. Throw in gritty little southpaw Charles “Whitey” Ford, and you have a recipe for pennants. As long as this trio have a seat in the dugout, the Yankees have a chance to win in October.
